I think afghans are my favorite to make. I usually work on my cross stitch in the summer and save the afghans for the winter time. There is nothing like curling up under an afghan! I have only sold 1 afghan, all of the others, I have given away. I love making them, then afterwards, I'm stumped as to what to do with them. I believe that every member of my family has at least 1...if not 2 of my afghans! They make great Christmas gifts. I have made a few baby afghans for friends too. On this page you will see the afghans I've made within the past 2-3 years. I never thought to photograph them before, so many are lost. These are thumbnails. Just click on the one you would like to see a larger version of. It will open in a seperate window that you can close to return here.

After not crocheting for many years, this was the first afghan I made. I made it for my aunt & uncle one Christmas. It fits their king-size bed like a spread This is several panels of solid afghan stitch, popcorn afghan stitch and afghan stitch with roses cross stitched in.

This thing is huge! Here it is spread over a sofa...and I still didn't get it all in the picture!

Here's my heart...
This is my favorite of all I've ever made. And it was, by far, the most difficult. It is made up of 9 panels...not including the center or ruffle. Each panel is 2 different colors and stitchs. The ruffle is approx. 6". After it is completed, you crochet the roses and leaves for the center.
I think the most enjoyable part about this one is after it is completed and you embellish it with different laces and whatever else you want. I bought several types of lace and buttons, doileys and appliques. I then laid it out on my bed and spent nearly 2 hours placing and rearranging the items. Then placed the other embellishments. After pinning it all into place, it is sewed by hand with invisible thread.

I made this Popcorn Ripple for my grandmother this past Christmas. She likes it.....

Samson loves it!
