In addition to the crochet and cross stitch, I enjoy many other things. I like to roam throught craft stores or craft shows and pick up ideas and try new things. I have been into a multitude of different things, and am always on the look for new and different crafts.

Things I haven't tried yet but would love to: quilt making, wood carving and pottery making.

Plaster work

I was roaming throught the craft store one afternoon and saw a kit for making a plaster picture frame. Having never tried it, I bought the kit. After making the frame, I was so surprised that it turned out so well...I took it to work to show a coworker. Not only did she like it, but so did everyone else! I ended up making over 75 frames and an extra $400.00 for Christmas!

Woodburning

Boy do I love this! I still pick this up from time to time.

Giant dolls and other stuff...

These dolls are made of a tomato cage and jumbo twisted paper. Each one stands at least 5' tall! Although they are easy to make...paper, and hot glue mostly...they can get expensive to make.

(Santa is on my Christmas page)

I found the cutest birdhouse at a yard sale. I brought it home and decorated it with silk flowers, birds, and all sorts of little critters.

I have also made homemade scented soaps and candles and fixed up baskets at Christmas. I have no pictures of these, but maybe this year.....
