I love to cross stitch! There's nothing like watching a picture slowly come together. It's also very versitle. I've made everything from pictures & afghans to T-shirts & sweat shirts. You have a pattern and can put it on anything. It's also so easy. I've spoken to many people who think it's difficult, but it's so simple that I taught myself. If you can count, thread a needle and make an X... you can cross stitch! Here are a few pictures of some things I've done.....

I put this on a sweatshirt

Poking his head out of a t-shirt pocket

I framed this for a 'Pooh Fan'

This was put on a tote bag and donated to a fund raiser.

This was a birthday gift for my friend Ann.

This I framed and kept.

Here is the first piece I ever did on linen. I was terrified of trying it...it looked so hard. Then a woman at our local cross stitch store showed me how easy it was. I couldn't believe it! Now, I prefer linen to anything else and it's hard for me to stitch on the aida sometimes.

The larger version of these are worth a look, they didn't make good thumbnails. There are a total of 12 of these inspirational pieces that I hope to finish one day and make into a quilt.

Once you venture into linen, it's only natural to want to eventually get into the 'speciality stitches'. A link to instructions for some of these stitches can be found on my 'Sampler' page.

If you enjoyed looking at my cross stitch...please be sure to check out the ABC baby quilt and the Noah's Ark sampler that I'm currently working on.
